For this year's International Women's Day, we asked poet Nikita Gill to put into words what the day means to her.

The poem she wrote pays tribute to all that women have overcome to be who they are.

A styling story by the Venturini sisters

 You are already beautiful.
You don’t have to look in the mirror
and see anything less than a victory dance,
the bones of who you are forged in fire,

the peace song in your heart
praise for all the women you have been
to become the woman you are today.
You are your own sacred story.

The world begins and ends with you.
All you must do is remember
the wolf within you.

What does International Women's Day mean to you?
